Your Hosts

Your hosts Coral and John are well travelled and have spent many years living in different parts of the UK and abroad.
We do have dogs but they are accommodated separately and are not permitted to wander into the guest areas. If you wish to bring your dog we can advise on local kennels that offer night boarding so that you are free to enjoy their company during the day.
We hope you come and stay with us soon to experience what the area and our hospitality has to offer.

We are a small family run B&B with 2 en-suite rooms with Mountain and Lake views. We are the nearest Bed and Breakfast to Armathwaite Hall. Bassenthwaite is one of the little known gems of the Lake District. As you travel over Ouse Bridge from the A66 you cannot help but marvel at the fabulous sight of Bassenthwaite Lake opening out.
We live in a very picturesque area which has an abundance of wildlife which can be spotted from the house including Kestrels, Owls and Red Squirrels. Bassenthwaite holds a charm which will be sure to bring you back time and time again.

Sailors: Full English Breakfast: Bacon, Sausage, Egg, Beans, Mushrooms, Tomato, Black Pudding (on request).
We can also provide a full English Vegetarian Breakfast with previous notice.
Mermaids: Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Eggs
Beach Combers: Warm Croissants and Assorted Jams
There is also Fruit and Yogurt and a selection of Bread and Cereals on offer together with fruit juices, tea and filter coffee. A toaster is provided and Porridge or Prunes are available on Request.
Your host will inform you of any Specials on offer such as Bagels with Salmon/Cream Cheese, Eggs Benedict, Avocado on Toast, Fruit Smoothies or Waffles. (All additional options are subject to availability).

We can also cater for a Vegetarian or Gluten Free diet with previous notice.
